Recycling Plastic, One Painting at The Time

My work explores the relationship between discarded materials and the environment, transforming everyday plastic waste—such as water caps, plastic bags, and plastic cups—into expressive mixed-media pieces. Using these materials, I seek to challenge perceptions of waste, showing that what is often deemed useless can be imbued with new life and meaning. Through these materials, I tell a story of transformation, sustainability, and the urgent need to reconsider our relationship with consumer culture. Acrylic paint and various textural techniques are incorporated to give the works depth, texture, and color, evoking both beauty and critique in our throwaway society.

Abstract Art

Through the mixed-media works presented here, I aim to provoke thought and dialogue about waste, consumption, and the environment. Using everyday plastic items that are often discarded, I challenge their inherent impermanence and transform them into objects of meaning and reflection. My art invites viewers to rethink the value of what we throw away and to reconsider the broader implications of our environmental choices. Each piece is both a critique and a call to action, urging us to find new ways to honor our planet and its resources.
